The Puppy Process
From First Hello to Homecoming
Four simple steps — and we are with you for every one of them. No pressure at any stage, including the last one.
Step 01
Reach out
Tell us about your family and what you are hoping for in a Berner. There is no form to pass and nothing to qualify for — we just want to know who you are.
Takes two minutes. No obligation.
Step 02
Talk with Roger
By phone, text, or even FaceTime — whatever is easiest for you. We will talk through litters, timing, and what fits your home. Ask us anything, including the awkward questions.
Usually within a day of your message.
Step 03
Choose your puppy with our guidance
We walk you through the litter and help you find the right match — temperament, timing, and what you told us you were looking for. If a litter is not right for you, we will say so.
We will happily tell you to wait for the right one.
Step 04
Bring your Berner home
And we stay with you afterward. Questions in the first weeks, advice as they grow, or just a photo update — you are not on your own once the puppy leaves.
Support after pickup, for as long as you need it.
Common Questions
Things Families Usually Ask
You will not be the first to wonder any of these — and asking is genuinely welcome.
It starts with a message. Tell us about your family and what you are hoping for, and Roger will come back to you — usually within a day. From there it is a conversation: which litters are coming, what the timing looks like, and what would suit your home. Nothing is decided until you are ready.
Not much, and we would rather you did not over-buy before you meet your puppy. A crate, a collar and leash, and a good quality puppy food are the essentials. We are glad to talk you through it so you are not guessing — and anything you are unsure about, just ask.
By knowing both. We spend every day with the litter, so we see the bold one, the quiet one, the one who follows you everywhere. Combine that with what you have told us about your home and your family, and we can usually point you to the right puppy. If we think a litter is wrong for you, we will say so.
Then we will tell you to wait — and mean it. Berners live a long time, and there is no prize for rushing into one. Stay in touch, follow the litters, and come back when the moment is right. We would much rather place a puppy well than place one quickly.
FaceTime Meet-and-Greet
Not local? Most of our families meet their puppy on video first. We are glad to set up a call so you can see the litter, the adults, and where they are raised.
No Obligation
Talking with us commits you to nothing. If the timing is wrong, or a Berner is not the right dog for your home, we will tell you — and we would rather do that than place a puppy badly.
Talk it through directly
Sometimes a conversation is easier than a form.
Ready when you are.
Start with a message. Roger personally replies to every inquiry.
